Terms of Service
Effective date: May 28, 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing CartaLuma, creating an account, or uploading documents, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Who you're contracting with
CartaLuma is operated by Elevora Holding LLC d/b/a CartaLuma ("CartaLuma", "we", "us"). These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Elevora Holding LLC.
3. What CartaLuma is
CartaLuma provides educational immigration notice explanations, AI summaries, multilingual support, and legal-help resources. It is an information tool, not a representation service.
4. Not legal advice
CartaLuma is not a law firm, attorney, accredited representative, or government agency, and is not affiliated with USCIS, ICE, DHS, EOIR, CBP, or any other agency. Using CartaLuma does not create an attorney-client relationship. We make no guarantee of accuracy, outcome, approval, eligibility, deadline, or any legal result.
5. Your responsibility
You are responsible for verifying important information with official government sources (such as USCIS) or with a licensed immigration attorney or DOJ-accredited representative. You are responsible for your own deadlines and legal decisions.
6. AI limitations
AI-generated output may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. CartaLuma may use official-source grounding to reduce errors, but you must independently verify anything you rely on.
7. Account rules
You must be 18 or older, provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and not misuse the service. You are responsible for activity under your account.
8. Your content
You retain ownership of documents you upload. You grant CartaLuma a limited, non-exclusive license to process your uploads only to provide the service, support, security, and product improvement.
9. Prohibited use
You agree not to: use the service for unlawful purposes; upload documents you don't have permission to use; abuse, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service; harass others; commit fraud; or attempt to bypass usage limits or security controls.
10. Intellectual property
CartaLuma, including its branding, software, design, prompts, workflows, and content (other than your uploaded content), belongs to Elevora Holding LLC or its licensors. You may not copy, redistribute, or resell the service.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for misuse, abuse, fraud, legal risk, or violation of these Terms. You may close your account at any time from Settings → Account.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CartaLuma and Elevora Holding LLC are not liable for immigration outcomes, missed deadlines, denied applications, legal decisions, lost data, indirect or consequential damages, or any reliance on AI output. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, unless mandatory consumer law in your country provides otherwise. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration where permitted by law.
